Tenerife is beautiful and easy to relax into, but it still pays to keep an eye on your things, documents and travel cover.
They happen even in busy tourist areas. Don't leave anything visible in the car – bag, camera, sunglasses – and don't trust the boot either, even for a quick errand. Park in well-lit, busy, authorised spots.
